White Jade owls – wip
The next two owls I’m carving will be made out of a Siberian Jade. The stone is quite different to the Chinese white I made the last owl out of.
It is a higher quality stone, with a speckled brown going through some of it. Perfect for this type of owl. The glow (when backlit) is different from the Chinese white too. I’m looking forward to side by side photos when I’m done.
The two new owls are matched pieces of stone ( back to back). One is almost pure white and the other 3/4 brown, 1/4 white.
