Pounamu Morkpork / Ruru
This is a small carving of my Ruru / morepork design. The stone is a beautiful translucent dark “Flower” Pounamu with yellow inclusions.
I’ve carved the back to make the eyes and beak pop when held up to the sun.
Material – Pounamu (NZ Jade) and Sterling silver (eyes)
