Pounamu Kakapo

This sculpture/pendant is of a Kakapo. It is a large flightless parrot native to New Zealand.
I used the outside rind of the Pounamu for his lighter front and the darker green for his back/wings/tail. You can see the Pounamu block I used in one of the photos. For his eyes I’ve inset a darker Pounamu.
Material – Pounamu with darker Pounamu eyes.
Size – 23mm wide X 62mm high
