Large Chatoyant Inanga Toki
$420
Design: This pendant is based on a toki (which is a adze or axe shape). Larger toki would have been for woodworking jobs like canoes or houses while smaller ones would have been used for finer work like carving. They have been recorded from ancient Egyptians up to the present day (now mostly made out of metal). The design is normally associated with strength or someone who is a maker.
Stone: The stone is a chatoyant Inanga (greyish green) Pounamu. Chatoyancy refers to a stone that has reflective bands that change colour or tone as you move them in the light.
