The fantail / pīwakawaka is probably our friendliest native bird and is one of the few native birds that has adapted well to urbanization. Often when you go tramping here in NZ one or two will keep you company (probably eating the insects your disturbing). They are so full of playful enthusiasm.
We have lots of different types of daisies in NZ. These range in size from the little lawn ones to the larger mountain daisies. They suit the colour of the inclusions in this Pounamu and have a positive association for me. They remind me of the outdoors, lawn, summer and childhood.
