Dark Pounamu Toki

This toki is carved out of a beautiful black Pounamu with yellow inclusions form the outside of the stone. The edges have a deep green glow when backlit.

A toki is a adze or axe shape.  Larger toki would have been for woodworking jobs like canoes or houses while smaller ones would have been used for finer work like carving.

The design is normally associated with strength or someone who is a maker.
