Inanga is a silvery Pounamu named after several types of little fish in our streams.
Chatoyancy is an optical effect you can get in certain gemstones. Coined from the French “œil de chat”, meaning “cat’s eye”. As you rotate the stone in the sun the bands change from light to dark. You can see this particularly on his back.
