Faceted Jade Pendant
This Drop is made out of a “flower” type Jade from Wyoming, USA. The stone has some really nice inclusions along with unique light blue patches.
The design is a curved back drop leading down into a chisel edge at the front. I’ve faceted the sides to highlight the central plane.
I like making my drops with a curved back. Although it uses twice as much stone as a flat backed drop/carving and easily takes 2X as long to carve it really adds something that makes the carving stand out plus sits on the chest more naturally and comfortably.
