Flower Pounamu / Jade

Flower jade is formed by fractures in the jade oxidizing. In New Zealand flower jade is one of the most treasured types of Pounamu.

As in all things you get a wide range of qualities. Good flower Pounamu is characterized by yellow or white streaks going through beautiful vibrant translucent stone. I think it looks like clouds in a clear sky.
