Pounamu Morkpork / Ruru
This is a medium/small sized carving of my Ruru / morepork design. The stone is a beautiful translucent Kawakawa Pounamu. It is beautifully banded at the bottom.
I carved the back to make the eyes pop when held up to the sun. It hangs on the size.
Material – Kawakawa Pounamu (NZ Jade) and Sterling silver (eyes)
Size – 40mm high X 28mm wide
