Cloudy Pounamu Toki
$510
This toki is carved out of a interesting pounamu. In between the translucent cloud fractures there are patches of beautiful chatoyant inanga.
A toki is a adze or axe shape. Larger toki would have been for woodworking jobs like canoes or houses while smaller ones would have been used for finer work like carving. They have been recorded from ancient Egyptian times up to the present day (now mostly made out of metal).
The design is normally associated with strength or someone who is a maker.
